This "works" car is double ended. It is a converted passenger tram that became a sweeper car. It is brushes located under the car to sweep dirt and light snow off the trolley right-of-way

The car was originally built in 1934 as car # 1052. It was converted by STIB into a work car #38 in 1970, then converted again in 1981 to #19.
